not realy worth the contest entry. It's not even finished. It just has the base colors on it. No weathering or shading effects.

This could be an interesting battle, your banesword against my shadowsword:P I really like the rules of the shadowsword..... if you hit.... (with a template) you immediatly penetrate the armour:O and you get a +1 to the vehicle penetration roll:O yippie kai yeah motherf**kers:P

yeah i nearly went the shadowsword route but I only really play one guy regularuy who has a super heavy, but he often combines his guardsmen with my sisters chaosmarines so the huge template is great at thinning out the numbers, besides i am yet to see a bane blade survie my tried and tested way of killing it. (terminators with thunderhammers telporting next to it) tho the quickest one was when I shot his baneblade with a single shot from a marine carrying a lascannon, front armour hit, scored nothing but 6's ont he dice roll and took it out with one shot causing multiple explosions in it taking off all its Structurepoints, we both kinda sat there laughing at it, til he realised I still had all 4 of my land raiders on the table (evillaugh)

I kept the tank modifiable:P I can change the turret and all weapon pieces.... yeah it sucks when the shadowsword barrel falls off, but heey, it works. You really wanna teleport some termies next to a shadowsword that is backed up by mega nobz? or a shitload of boys?:P not even termies will survive that amount:P tried and tested with some friends......several times:P yeah I know the feeling.... I once played against someone fielding Abaddon.... My heavy weaponteam kept hitting the termies, taking them out in 2 turns, none of my plasma guns blew up and hit that same 10 men termie squad decimating it and leaving abaddon with one wound, before he could charge Yarrick and a unit of veterans....... and he rolls a double one for his deamon weapon..... losing his last wound:P the guy gave up after it..... I had to keep myself from laughing:P I took out a Stompa with a vendetta once, because my shadowsword kept missing or not rolling high enough =(

I'm getting my hands one of of these myself soon, it's a brilliant kit. Titan hunters are a little pointless in most games that I play so I won't be building the same one, maybe something more close range.

Still, what grounds are they judging you on in this competition?

This tank is massively under-painted if it's a competition judged purely on paintwork - imperial paint schemes are for the most fairly minimal, but you could pick out the bolts, add some dirt around the tracks, stick a commissar in the turret and stencil on some numbers and a whole load of other things that would easily give this tank more ''life''. This is an awesome tank, and I think that you should put more effort into it's paint job.

Uh the comp is just a genral one for vehicles in 40K and to be honset I am not a goos painter anyway, but the comp gave me a reasin to buy the kit:D I intend to do some more to it as I improve but it is the only Guard unit I have, my main army is Space marines and I am building a Chaos daemon army for 40k too!

Admittedly, I do like this new kit - I'll definitely be getting my hands on one when I'm finished with my numerous superheavies I'm working on now.

I was gutted when I found out about this competition 'cus when I read about it, I'd just completed my second Plague Reaper... Shame that you've gotta send in pictures of it incompleted before you send in the main picture.

Yeah, I need to improve at paintinf first though, I acutally am a Space marine and Chaos Daemon player but I added the superheavy for more punch against certain enemies! The new Guard code is out in May
