Ok so an editorial on why I like DiD?

Hmm well like a lot of people I grew up watching cartoons, regularly seeing a female character tied up or in some kind of peril, when I was younger it just made me laugh (and in the case of Olive Oyl, wonder why Popeye even gave a damn about such an irritating person in the first place :P )

As I grew into my teens and the inevitable interest in girls, and the forms of entertainment moved on, I have still to this day liked cartoons to a degree.  They seemed in my teens to have the atypical perfect women in them to a guy full or raging hormones :P  (If unrealistic ) But it was stronger characters like Teela and She-Ra who still got in trouble but were able to escape it with the minimum of help that made them more interesting to me.

Others I would include in this would April O'Neil or Rara Chasm (OC of :iconraya100: ) who is sensual, but not an airhead/weak willed character.  So I guess I am saying that I also like girls who can seriously kick some ass

What is better? A character that gets in trouble, and is so weak she has to be rescued no matter what, or a stronger character that while not always successful in escaping at least tried and showed some fight.  Women can be beautiful, inquisitive/whatever, but that does not mean they cannot be strong minded & yet still be vulnerable in some way.

As for the visual aspect of it, I love the sight of a cute bound and gagged girl struggling to free themselves from a form of peril, whether they get free or not often is immaterial to me, (though I prefer them to be free or at least it's obvious they are about to be free at the end) it's the person showing they willingness to fight no matter what the villain has tried to do to them to keep them a prisoner.

My tastes in this varies, while I certainly like some of the more "adult" tagged stuff but there is stuff I would not touch with a 50 foot pole, while some like to see whips, clamps, hot waxes and the like, which is fine for them, it's too much for me, I don't understand pleasure from pain, and I don't want to go there, my mind is fairly open, but like everyone else I have a limit to what I see as within my moral sphere.

I feel there is just something pure about Damsel in distress rather than out and out bondage, It's hard to put my finger on it, but I think it's that sense of fun and slight silliness from the cartoons or even David-Presents more humorous stories (something I do envy, I cannot write comedy for anything )

DiD does not require girls to be naked, in fact I prefer them to be clothed, its more interesting and fits the art style more than nudity.

Well that's me out of ideas folks, hopefully this answers a few questions about my take on it, or maybe I just made people have a few more?  That could be a good thing, Only by making people think about this subject can we separate the more innocent DiD from the Bondage stuff a bit more and clear the misconceptions about what is in effect harmless, very good fun:)
Just trying to set a few facts straight on my views

There is something erotic about a sexy damsel walking into peril. Grabbed from behind, and later found trussed up and gagged in her bra and panties by a woman on the run.

Prefer an older more buxom damsel-in-distress.
